Good News Story of the Week concerns the solving of a disabled parking issue.
"Mr G from Basildon corresponds with me on a variety of issues, like many Basildon and Billericay constituents. However, this time, Mr G asked if I would be able to help with an issue he’s been facing for nine years.
After moving into his current home, which is adapted for his needs, Mr G looked into having the local disabled parking bay near his home. He had this near his previous property.
So, over a nine-year period, Mr G kept trying with responsible organisations, but the buck kept being passed around. It’s such an annoying thing to happen and something I see so frequently from my post bag.
After years of being passed around and around, Mr G, wondered if I would be able to help with this issue, and I am very glad to say that I was able to.
After some correspondence with SEPP, it’s been agreed that a bay will be installed and allocated to Mr G, an important result for him, especially after fighting for this outcome for so long. I’m so pleased this has worked out for him.
I’m looking to speak to SEPP in the near future to take forward a number of more complex issues constituents have raised with me - including some of the parking issues near schools in Basildon and Billericay and around some of our housing estates.
