Richard attended Northlands Primary School's art exhibition at Barleylands.
Speaking after the visit, Richard said:
"I had the pleasure of meeting with the students from Northlands Primary in Basildon as they hosted their artwork at an exhibition at Barleylands.
They brought the tale of the Owl and the Pussy-Cat alive with their amazing designs using the skills they have learnt from their teachers and from the workshops put on by Creative Basildon.
It was so lovely to see the talent and hear how much fun all the students had making their exhibition and it is clear they want to continue making more artwork.
Although the school falls under the South Basildon and East Thurrock Parliamentary Constituency, given that the creative Basildon project is borough wide and many of the students are in my constituency as well as Barleylands being in my constituency, I took them up on their invitation and I am very glad I did."
