Richard recently attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Parliament with two local church leaders.

Speaking after the event, Richard said:

"I was delighted to attend the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast 2025 this week held in Westminster Hall by the All-Party Group of Christians in Parliament.

I had the pleasure to be joined by Rev Chris Arnold, Team Rector of the Billericay and Little Burstead Team Ministry, who also holds the service for Emmanuel Church Billericay, and Andy Robb, Senior Pastor for Revival Church Billericay

The annual breakfast is a way to connect MPs, Peers, and local church leaders together. It helps build on the already strong relationship between Christianity and politics. Many people across Basildon and Billericay are full of faith and it really shows – especially with how many churches we have in the constituency.

It was amazing to bring some of the local faith leaders to Parliament. A massive thanks to all our local denominations of Christianity and those of other faiths for the work they do in supporting people across Basildon and Billericay."
