Richard visited Voltsmart in Basildon recently.
Speaking after the visit, Richard said:
"I met with the brilliant team behind the innovative Volstmart based in Basildon to learn more about how they can reduce the cost of energy being supplied to people’s homes.
The team showed me how it works through a live demonstration of their award-winning energy-efficient fuse board technology. It showed me how it can deliver immediate energy savings, reduce energy waste, protect the lifespan of appliances, and support the transition to smarter, more sustainable homes.
I was also really interesting to hear about who they’re working with in the industry and how they can help achieve much larger targets to save energy, benefiting you at home and the wider grid.
While quite technical to understand at points - the main thing to note is this is a company in Basildon with local people that are striving forwards with an innovative product to help deliver our country’s goals for better housing and cheaper energy prices."
