Richard Holden Argues for Villa Real Special School Funding to the Education Secretary

This week, the Department of Education released their Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Review, and within the debate Richard Holden MP made the case for funding for Villa Real School in Consett.

This week the government published the SEND review (which can be seen here: http://www.gov.uk/.../send-review-right-support-right...).

This and the response to the consultation with the sector will form the basis of SEND education and provision going forward. Richard encourages North West Durham constituents to respond to the consultation here: https://sendreview.campaign.gov.uk.

Richard Holden MP commented:

"I used the opportunity to argue for capital facilities funding for one of our local special schools, Villa Real School, in Consett - and will update constituents further when I've had a meeting with the Education Secretary that he promised."
