Richard very much enjoyed his role in lighting the Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting at Castleside with Healeyfield Parish Council.
Commenting, Richard said:
"Huge thank you to Healeyfield Parish Council who let me loose with a blow torch and a cherry picker last night to light the beacon! Hundreds of people turned out and it was great to see the whole community coming together and having a great time celebrating Platinum Jubilee.
"And the fireworks were simply spectacular. Cannot thank the whole Parish Council enough - they put on a spectacular event for the whole community."
