Richard Holden, MP for North West Durham, today raised a question about farming during questions to the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. You can watch the question here.
Richard commented that upland farmers in places like Weardale are able to access financial schemes, but that there are concerns from lowland farmers in his constituency that they do not have the same help available. He asked the Department for reassurance that environmental schemes are in place for all farmers.
Richard has previously hosted the Environment Secretary in North West Durham, which you can read about here. He is also working to represent all farmers in the constituency, which you can read about here.
