Richard Holden, MP for North West Durham, has today spoken in the House of Commons following a statement by the Minister for Sport, Heritage and Tourism on Update on financial support for the Sport Sector.
Richard has spoken previously about spectator attendance at football matches, which you can see here. He has also spoken about the FA Vase final being postponed, which you can read about here, and the Premier League, which you can read about here. Richard has spoken to football clubs in North West Durham about the financial support available to them at the moment and has previously spoken to Ministers about this.
Speaking today, Richard welcomed the announcement that national youth clubs will see extra support, although flagged that some Northern clubs do not have access to this support and asked the Minister to hear representations from Northern League clubs as well.
