Richard Holden, MP for North West Durham, has spoken during a debate on Covid-19: Cultural and Entertainment Sectors.
During the debate, Richard stated that ‘fewer sectors have been harder hit by the coronavirus pandemic than our cultural and entertainment sector’ and thanked the Government for the culture recovery fund and heritage emergency fund money. He described the ‘huge investment’ that Durham County Council are making into Durham County but stated that very little of this money is coming to North West Durham and pointed out that 91% of constituents find it unacceptable that they have been left out of the council’s leisure plan – you can read more about this here.
