When the National Lottery was set up the age limit was set at 16 and it was just one weekly draw which cost £1 to enter. Now, however, 16 and 17 are able to gamble in online “instant” games with the national lottery at up to £10 a go, and up to £350 a week.
Richard wants the age at which people can play these instant win games raised to 18, in line with the rest of the gambling industry.
