1) People's Postcode Lottery - Get £500 - £20,000 funding for your community group!
2) Consett Rugby Club Presentation Day - what a fantastic day, and there were hundreds of people there. And the sun was shining all day which really topped it off.
3) Visit from Lord Parkinson who is the Arts Minister - it was fantastic to have Lord Parkinson visit both Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens & The Roxy in #Leadgate with me last night and this morning. It is always a delight to show Ministers what great stuff is happening in our area and it helps put us in the map and in the minds of decision makers in Government. Let's go County Durham for City of Culture 2025!
4) The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Card competition - having received over 400 entries, I have been going through them and they are all brilliant. And I will be sending some to the Queen. I'm looking forward to writing back to you all!
5) The Queen's Speech - with 38 Bills coming forward, it is sure to be a busy parliamentary year.
