Speaking about World Downsydrome Day, Richard said:
"Today is World Down Syndrome Day and I’m joining the campaign to Improve Our Support Systems. Everyone, from people with Down Syndrome to their families, needs the right support in life.
Here, in the UK, we have made great progress in supporting people with Down Syndrome, but that isn’t the case across the globe. I call on other governments to ensure they have a support system allowing people with Down Syndrome and other disabilities are included in their local communities.
