Richard returned to De La Salle to tour the school with the headmaster.
Speaking after the visit, Richard said:
"It was fantastic to make a return to De La Salle School and tour the school with their Headteacher, Mr Norris.
When I last visited, I actually ran out of time to see the school in full as the students from their young leadership team had so many questions and I wanted to answer every single one! That’s why I needed to come back to see the grounds and chat to students in their natural class environment.
With so many exams happening soon, most of the students were locked in with their studies, so I didn’t want to pressure them too much with questions about how their preparation is going!
It’s a brilliant school and it’s clear that the students enjoy being there, as do the staff. I’m happy to support them in any way as their MP for Basildon and Billericay, and would love to see more of them get interested with politics and our Parliament."
