Richard recently visited the Post Office in Billericay.
Speaking after the visit, Richard said:
"I popped down to the new post office on Billericay high street and it’s great to see that it is busy and doing very well. It was also a good opportunity to touch base with Mr King, Geoff, and the staff to chat about the planned banking hub for the town.
The banking hub will be established by Cash Access UK and will be run by a local postmaster. It is reassuring to know that the team here are keen and willing to take on the new banking hub and its operations.
The hub will increase banking access for all of those in Billericay and the surrounding villages and improve how customers engage in banking services. I hope to see it in place by the end of the year, but it’s welcome news that Santander will only close once the banking hub is up and running."
