Richard met with volunteers who oversee The Fold in Billericay.
After the visit, Richard commented:
“The Fold in Billericay - a real gem of an arts hub.
I met with the amazing volunteers that run The Fold (Billericay Arts Association) in Billericay to have a look around the site and their local arts offer.
It was impressive to see the range of artistic activities available here, with plenty of talent amongst them too. And that building itself is lovely and steeped in local Billericay history – which I was learning all about from them!
What truly stands out is the dedication from the volunteers who have been involved for years and even renovated the centre when they took up the lease donkeys years ago. They’ve done a brilliant job, and I encourage everyone to get involved with them and their classes on everything from photography to music to life drawing. They also have a regular café too!”
