Following his visit, he said:
"I popped by Mayflower High School in #Billericay to chat with Mr Lee about the Condition Improvement Funding they’ve received, as well as to hear more about how the school has been progressing of late.
It was great to see and hear how the latest inspections of the school had improved, and this is no doubt due to the leadership changes and hard work from all the staff. I look forward to seeing their positive improvements as time goes on, and I have full faith in Mr Lee and his team to deliver on this.
I’ve met plenty of students from Mayflower on visits but I’ve also been hosting quite a few in my office to learn more about my role as their MP on their work experience too and met many about volunteering across #BasildonAndBillericay and they’ve always been such polite and switched on young people.
The school is doing great and I’ll keep up my very good relationship with them.
