Richard visited a local business in Billericay called Oak and Still.
Speaking after the visit, Richard said:
"I recently popped into Oak and Still and met with the owner, Luke Brown, to hear more about how this small business based locally is supplying products up and down the country. It’s very impressive that we have such businesses in our neck of the woods, and I want to do more to support them.
The hospitality sector has been hit hard since the pandemic and is just about finding its feet. That’s why it’s so disappointing that the new Government has decided to fund their massive tax rises through businesses instead of helping promote growth. The knock on for the High Street also affects businesses in the supply chain too.
I’m also very thankful to Luke for the little jelly shots he gave me to try! Not sure they’re my thing but they are certainly different!"
