We are now halfway through The Fostering Network's foster care fortnight, the annual celebration of children in foster care and the selfless families who look after them. Fostering provides a safe and nurturing environment for a child to live in who cannot live with their birth family.
Often, these children come from the most challenging possible homes. There are roughly 70,000 children in care at the moment, and I take my hat off to the kind families who take a child in and provide them with a loving home, food and a roof over their heads.

A foster family can transform lives for some of the most vulnerable in society. I am delighted to be shining a light on all the important work they do here in Durham and across the country. Click here to find out more https://www.thefosteringnetwork.org.uk/.../foster-care...
