With the fog and rain becoming regular features of our daily lives now in North West Durham, even things like broken footpaths covered with leaves could be very problematic for the elderly and those with mobility issues. That is why when Ms T of Hamsterley Mill got in touch about an inaccessible and dangerous footpath covered in loads of leaves, the team escalated her case with the powers that be at Durham County Council.
She had tried all other avenues but kept hitting against a brick wall with authorities.
Often, this is how people feel when they get in touch with my team.
However, as soon as Durham County Council heard from us, they could see it was an accident waiting to happen. They immediately cleared the leaves and booked an inspector to arrange any necessary repairs.
The Council often feels completely impossible to navigate, even when you know you have a stonewall case. That is why I want you to get in touch with me if this is how you feel, and you have a problem you think I could help with.
I can’t always guarantee such a brilliant outcome, but I will always make your voice heard. It’s what I do.
