Childcare vouchers are essential for many, particularly for those with children who have rare health conditions.
When R of the Dipton area got in touch about some difficulties they were having with getting a childcare place for their 3-year-old, who had been diagnosed with a serious and rare health condition, it was clear something had to be done pronto.
It was particularly serious following a breakup which resulted in their ex-partner making R and their son homeless. As a result, they lost their job and were having difficulties going to their son’s numerous appointments with specialists.
They had exhausted all options with the Council, which finally told them they would have to wait 13 weeks before a decision was made following an IT error. This was clearly not an option for R who had been forced to spend £700 a week on childcare. After Richard got in touch, the Council sorted the issues and immediately got in touch with R to get their son a funded place and sort out the previous intractable IT issues.
