I am looking to hire a part-time Constituency Support Officer to help with casework responses and provide operational support with MP engagements on Fridays. This role will suit someone wanting to work part-time (Fridays essential), who is personable, confident, and has a full driving licence.

Salary: In line with IPSA Pay Scale (Outside London, Executive 1)
The role is focused on, but not limited to:
- Assisting with constituency casework under supervision of other team members
- Assisting with on-the-day operations support for constituency engagement arrangements; this will include: escorting the MP on visitations to local businesses, charities, schools and other organisations; as well as providing other on-the-day event support as required. This part of the role will almost always be on a Friday.
- Efficient data and file management in accordance with office policy and data protection
- Engage professionally, confidentially and with care and integrity with members of the public, through a variety of methods
- Engaging professionally with a variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Respond to enquiries by telephone, e mail and social media, passing on queries to another team members/MP as appropriate
- Undertaking other ad hoc projects and general administrative duties as necessary
- Handling sensitive personal data responsibly

- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Competency with social media platforms
- Confidence in dealing with senior figures
- Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party
- Full driving licence and use of a vehicle
Desirable additional candidate qualities:
- Ability to produce multimedia content, such as videos
- Previous experience working for a Member of Parliament
- Caseworker.mp system competency
The successful applicant will report to the Constituency Caseworker and be supported by both the Head of Office and the Member of Parliament directly. They will be expected to work hard but will be afforded great opportunities to learn, develop and grow professionally.
Occasional travel to London may be required, with travel and accommodation costs reimbursed. All fuel costs for driving on Fridays for work purposes will be reimbursed.
