We need to talk about mental health and break down the stigma surrounding it once and for all.
For some, experiencing ‘lows’, can be very short lived as we learn to cope, manage and overcome our problems. For others the ‘lows’ can extend for years and require medical intervention.
Many men, especially in agriculture, are not good at seeking medical advice for fear of being isolated. This is something the NFU has been massive on.
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45. What’s worse, is the vast majority of those who take their own lives do not seek support from a mental health professional.
