It was a pleasure to invite Harold Wilshire, Thomas Drummond and Marcus Bainbridge to Number 10 Downing Street to a reception to be acknowledged for all the voluntary work they do to keep our area safe. They met the Security Minister and other local safety champions from around the country.
They do so much to keep us safe and secure from the dangers of rural crime, with lots of stories to tell about helping law enforcement catch criminals. I know what a problem rural crime is in our area, especially with poaching which has such a big impact on our farmers.
It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for them to see behind the famous black door. Above all, I am just glad for this opportunity to thank them for all the important work they do for us every single day.
