Richard today popped by to The Salvation Army in Consett for a spot of lunch with the lovely people there.
They do a great job serving the local community through a variety of work from helping victims of modern slavery, to nurseries and community choirs. It was genuinely wonderful to sit down and have a chat with some of the pensioners there for their Friday lunch, to meet the volunteers and the Salvation Army team. I am so grateful for the opportunity.
Commenting, Richard Holden MP said:
Thanks so much to Lieutenant Wendy Verheij for having me.
They run lunches every Friday so, if you're around get yourself down there!
