Richard Holden, MP for North West Durham, has today raised the issue of bus services in the constituency during questions to the Department for Transport. You can watch this here.
Places like Crook, Willington and Burnopfield in North West Durham have very limited bus services available, particularly at the weekends and in the evenings. Richard raised this with the Secretary of State for Transport and asked what the government will do to give these areas better services. This is part of Richard’s plan to improve transport generally in the constituency and was one of his six key election pledges, which you can read about here.
