I'm really interested to hear your views on some of the recent announcements the Prime Minister has made regarding Net Zero.

This includes his proposals to:

1.) Scrap the need for all properties to switch to Heat Pumps from other forms of boilers if they are off-grid

2.) Move back the end of sale date for petrol and diesel cars and vans from 2030 to 2035

3.) Allow new licenses for UK production of Oil and Gas

Recently, the Prime Minister's announced changes in how we're going to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Strong arguments have been made on both sides in a passionate debate. What is important though is that we plot a path forward in a proportionate way that doesn't cost hardworking people many thousands of pounds.

I want to know what you really think about this extremely important issue. A large, but often forgotten, part of being a Member of Parliament is listening to peoples' views and representing them. What you write in this survey will inform my thinking, and how I represent you in Westminster going forward and I'll publish the results on my Facebook Page.

What statement most closely reflects your view on Climate Change?
Achieving Net Zero by 2050 has been made a legally binding target. This means that we must hit balance between the amount of CO2 produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere to prevent Climate Change. Do you support this aim?
Even in 2050 when we've achieved Net Zero, the UK will still be reliant on a quarter of it's energy from Oil and Gas. The Prime Minister has said that this should be produced in the UK supporting UK jobs. What is your view?
The UK has decarbonised faster than any other advanced economy since 1990 but there are also concerns about costs of decarbonising even faster than is necessary to hit Net Zero by 2050. Which answer most closely supports your view?
Mandatory housing upgrades, like extra insulation and new boiler upgrades would have cost families tens of thousands of pounds, hitting those living off-grid the most. Was Rishi Sunak right to cancel forcing people to have heat pumps?
The Government has been attracting billions of investment for UK car making and manufacturing, like with Nissan in Sunderland and Jaguar Land Rover in Somerset so that they can build Electric Cars in the UK. Is this something you support?
Do you agree with the new exemption for off-grid households so that they will never have to switch to heat pumps?
The UK contributes around 1 per cent to global emissions. To what extent do you agree that our best contribution to the fight against climate change is through technological research, development and innovation?
