The shows go on as this weekend Richard Holden MP enjoyed the Wolsingham Show.
The last of the summer weather carried over from the Weardale show last week and once again people from all across the Dale and beyond came to enjoy a day of riding, racing, eating, and various shows from gundogs to falcons. Invited to take part in the awards for cattle and show-jumping, Mr Holden was also there to hold a stand with the North West Durham Conservative Association.
For many across Durham this show marks the end of the many months suffered during the pandemic and was the perfect way to get back out and about to see friends and family all together.
Commenting, Richard Holden MP said:
'It’s been a really busy first day down at the Wolsingham Show - huge thanks and congratulations are due to the whole Wolsingham and Wear Valley Agricultural Society Committee who have clearly put a massive amount of work in.
'Thank you so much too everyone who has been down and to Society President, Mr John Bell, for asking me to present some of the prizes - including to the show stopping over one ton bull who you can see me patting below after his triumph!
'My team and North West Durham Conservatives have our stand and will be there tomorrow too, so do feel free to swing by there or grab me when I’m out for a wander round the stalls.'
