Yesterday, Richard caught up with some of the team from Marie Curie in Parliament. They do so much important work for terminally ill people across the country but particularly in County Durham.
In County Durham, Marie Curie have partnered with the local NHS to provide a rapid response nursing service. This is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and means terminally ill people and their families and carers can get urgent support in the event of a crisis.
Commenting, Richard Holden MP said:
"Without the money they raise, they just could not be there for people at the end of their lives.
"It was a privilege to speak with those on the front lines who give so much to people and their families who are in the most challenging circumstances."
