Alongside a busy week in Westminster, Richard Holden MP heard constituent surgeries and acted on the most recent local issues.
- On Saturday Richard Holden MP met with Durham Constabulary's Durham Police and Crime Commissioner Joy Allen and local councillors Mike and Doug of Lanchester, Burnhope & Castleside Councillors & Crook Conservative Councillors. They discussed Anti-social behaviour in Crook & Waskerley, followng previous discussions Mr Holden held with Inspector Turner of Crook. Mr Holden also raised dangerous driving issues across the constituency, as he has done previously especially in Crook and Burnhope. In 2019 Mr Holden promised he would make North West Durham safer and regularly speaks with PPC Allen to make sure it happens.
- Richard Holden MP was able to help a constituent with an urgent case regarding her passport. Her husband and her daughter had been allowed to board but due to a technical issue with her documentation she was not let on the flight. At such short notice, over a weekend, no one could help so Mr Holden contacted the Home Office ministers directly that afternoon. The issue was solved over the weekend and the constituent was able to join her family, Mr Holden is pleased that in this case he could sort out the issue quickly.
