On the solemn anniversary of the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, I’m sure the thoughts of many North West Durham constituents are with The King and the whole Royal Family.
A year on, the scale of Her Late Majesty's service only seems greater.
Great to pop by the Beeston coking ovens just outside Tow Law. They are one of 14,000 that used to burn day and night across County Durham at the peak of the industrial revolution, essential in the production of steel that was the envy of the world.
Great to be at the Wolsingham show over the weekend and speak with constituents as well as people from further afield about a number of issues ranging from rural sports to immigration to women’s rights.
David and the team have worked so hard and stage one of the Roxy regeneration project is now complete with the fantastic studio rooms are open. It’s been great to see the fantastic progress made on this since I first went to see the project with David.
My two weeks of summer surgery tour has been fantastic, with a brilliant final day to cap things off. I went to over 50 stops, covering every town and village in every corner of North West Durham and meeting hundreds of people from every walk of life.
After the successful first part of my summer surgery tour in July where I made it to 34 stops and met hundreds of constituents, part two is coming up next week!
