With hundreds of fantastic entries sent through to my constituency office in #consett, it has been a tough challenge to pick a winner. This is my third annual Christmas card competition, and every year I am blown away by how many young creatives there are right across North West Durham!

Great to pop by Parkside Academy to meet the children who took part in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, thanks to headteacher Ms Kelly Armstrong for inviting me.

Massive vote of confidence in the North East by Nissan today, investing £2 billion in the Sunderland plant. This will secure over 6,000 jobs in our area and tens of thousands more across the UK. Nissan is one of of the largest employers of my North West Durham constituents.
Truly brilliant to go to Stacey’s Barbers in Consett to see Stacey at work. She offers a unique service to children with learning difficulties who have a tough time at a regular barbers. I had no idea this was an issue before I met her and saw her in action.
Great to be out and about in North West Durham over the weekend, supporting the newly re-opened Duke of Wellington. It looks fantastic. Chris, Shane and the team have done a great job.
